CNH Industrial is proud to announce the charter of an FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapter open to its employees across the United States. The purpose of the Alumni and Supporters Chapter is to provide an opportunity for CNH Industrial employees to engage with, support, and develop students within agricultural education programs and FFA Chapters at the local, state, and national levels.
CNH Industrial LogoAs a corporate sustainability leader, volunteer work and charitable donations are some of the core tenants of CNH Industrial’s commitment to community involvement in North America. An FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapter is a perfect complement to the company’s focus because both organizations recognize the importance of agricultural education and leadership. In addition, since many CNH Industrial employees are former FFA members themselves, it provides a direct path to give back the organization that provided opportunities to develop competencies needed for their current careers.

CNH Industrial members of the Alumni and Supporters Chapter will be organized into four groups. Three of which will represent employees based out of the company’s Burr Ridge, IL, Racine, WI, and New Holland, PA offices, while the fourth will encompass the company’s field-based employees. This organizational structure will allow for more direct employee participation based on their location.

Regardless of the location, each CNH Industrial Alumni and Supporters member will have the opportunity to support and serve FFA and its members in a variety of capacities. CNH Industrial members are looking forward to participating in local and state CDE judging, helping to create lesson planning content for ag teachers, celebrating National FFA Week, and more!

One activity in particular that is near and dear to the hearts of CNH Industrial employees is participating in Impact Days of Service. Impact Day is an initiative supported by CNH Industrial which allows employees to take time off of work to complete community service projects in their local communities. In 2017, employees from CNH Industrial’s New Holland brand participated in an Impact Day at WB Saul High School in Philadelphia, the home of the largest FFA chapter in Pennsylvania! Approximately 50 employees spent the day at WB Saul on a variety of maintenance tasks around campus. They painted the school’s dairy barn and aquaponics room, built screens to place in the school’s barn windows, and completed several landscaping tasks. These volunteers and the rest of the members of the CNH Industrial Alumni and Supporters Chapter are very much looking forward to more opportunities like this one to support FFA chapters across the U.S.

“By joining the National FFA Alumni and Supporters, individuals will be an integral part of the premier organization that secures the promise of FFA and agricultural education by creating an environment where people and communities can develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success,” said Joshua Rusk, Executive Director, National FFA Organization Alumni and Supporters.
