During February’s National FFA Week, we asked FFA chapters and supporting organizations to tell us how they were hosting the “World’s Greatest National FFA Week Celebrations.” Now, we get to reveal our favorites! Winners receive a fun trophy and the glory knowing they had the “World’s Greatest National FFA Week Celebration!” Check them out:

Winning FFA Chapter: Mount Pleasant Middle School FFA Chapter (N. Carolina)

The Mount Pleasant Middle School FFA chapter sponsored a week of events for members as well as the whole student body. Each day had a theme that encouraged student participation, including FFA t-shirt day, boots day, hunting/camo day and flannel day. Each morning during announcements an ag trivia question was asked with an answer that could be found on posters about North Carolina agriculture that were hung around the school. Additionally, FFA members enjoyed a movie night and line dancing class.

The best event was the Agstravaganza. Many booths were set up showing equipment and technology used agricultural careers and students were able to showcase their own farm animals and knowledge. Participating organizations included North Carolina Soybean Association, North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, James River Equipment, Morrison Farms, Four Acres Farm, Barrier Farms, Boot Barn, Stanley Community College Agribusiness and Large Equipment, MPHS HOSA and MPHS Academy.
