With the project, students were able to learn how to ensure a healthy potato crop. Kent Sather of the Colorado State University Extension Service and manager of the Potato Certification Service inspected the growing crop, finding the potatoes virus-free. A federal inspection is required during the 100-day upbringing period to designate a crop as certified seed potatoes.
