When Noelle Goodson was invited to sing the national anthem at the state boys’ basketball championship game at The Ohio State University, she never dreamed it would take her to a professional recording studio.
It was Noelle’s FFA advisor who suggested she enter the state championship performance into the FMC Stand & Be Heard Anthem Singing Contest. Later selected as a semifinalist, Noelle traveled to Nashville to re-record her rendition of the national anthem and earned a $10,000 scholarship as the overall winner.
As an FFA member, Noelle served as chapter president and competed in multiple CDEs. She is now a sophomore at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Mich.
